Code of Conduct
This platform connects people at the start of their career with mentors and companies. That only works when everyone feels safe and respected. These rules apply to mentees, mentors, administrators and company contacts alike.
What we expect
- Be respectful and considerate — especially in the mentor–mentee relationship, where one side is usually the more experienced and more powerful one.
- Give feedback about the work, not about the person. Assume good intent and ask before you conclude.
- Treat what you see here as confidential: profiles, CVs, notes and interaction logs are shared with you for the programme and for nothing else.
- Disagree gracefully when a decision does not go your way.
What is not acceptable
- Harassment, intimidation or unwelcome attention of any kind.
- Sexualised language, imagery or advances. Between a mentor and their mentee this is never acceptable.
- Insults, personal attacks and demeaning remarks about someone’s background or ability.
- Sharing another person’s private data — email, phone number, address, CV, immigration or health status — without their explicit permission.
- Using the access your role gives you to obtain data you do not need, or to pressure someone in a weaker position.
- Discriminating against anyone on grounds such as origin, gender, disability, religion, age or sexual orientation.
Where it applies
Everywhere in the programme: messages and interaction logs in this app, meetings and calls, email, and any event or channel connected to it.
Reporting a problem
If something happens to you or you witness it, report it to an administrator of this instance — by message in the app or by email to the address your programme gave you. Reports are handled confidentially, you may report on behalf of someone else, and reporting in good faith never counts against you.
Consequences
Depending on how serious and how repeated the behaviour is: a private warning, a warning with conditions, a temporary suspension from the programme, or permanent removal. Harassment of an individual and abuse of the data a role grants access to lead to removal.
